This is my 97 Trans Am, I purchased it in March 06. Its a one owner car, never driven hard, garage kept 63000 mile LT1 A4 car. Bought it off a dealer in Winchester VA who had just recently got it in. Im told the color is pretty rare for this year, I was told 1 of 200, mabey less. Not sure on how true that is, if anyone can tell me let me know. Not sure on my plans for it yet. I know im going to do some light bolt ons and mabey a cam for now, but other than that im not sure. Im kinda reluctant to modify the body in any way since the cars so original. The extent of it may be wheels a hood and some interior trim.

As far as performance upgrades go... heres my list in order: SLP, or Borla cat back (gotta figure some more things out first), SLP cold air induction, mild cam, LT headers, offroad y pipe, eliminate cats, Diablo Sport power tune, LT4 heads & Intake. Im still learning this LT1 performance stuff, lot diffrent than the LS1s ive been researching for god knows how long.

Hello. How You doin'? My name is Juan Carlos. One reason why I like your Trans Am so much is because you bought it in the same condition i bought mine.Mine is also a '97,original paint, one responsible owner, never hit,etc..Anyway,very nice T/A.Try to keep it as original as possible. If u have the original exhaust system u can change it to a "flowmaster muffler" which is what i put in mine (sounds nasty) and weighs about 50 pounds less than the origial(no kidding). The other thing you could do is put in a K&N air filter,it costs $50.00 but it creates more air flow and you never have to change it,just clean it once a month. Now,for certain when u change the oil switch over to "synthetic oil" 'cause these engines r powerful w/ a lot of horsepower and plenty of torque. As you'll read on my page I've done all that but what I'm doing next will be to do a "ram air conversion".it's costly (about $1,200)'cause u have to purchase the hood (which has to be painted),plus the air box kit.Anyway,I'm talking too much.Check out my page: I.D : JCeezninety7TA. Bye.
