On this page I'll go into more detail on the exterior, engine, and interior (non-audio and non-PC) mods.
I'm not a fan of bodykits on the E60; I wanted a more conservative look for mine. So the only piece of bodywork I added was the OEM spoiler.
The B&B exhaust sounds great. Perfect growl under acceleration, but nice and quiet at cruising speed so I can actually listen to my audio system:

I got my SSR-GT3 rims and Bridgestone Potenzas from Tire Rack. They mounted them and sent them to a local shop of my choice. The best thing about these rims and tires is that I save about 20 pounds of weight per wheel off the heavy OEM rims and run-flat tires. That translates into a good deal more performance.
The Brembos I bought more for show. I got them from this excellent online shop called Import RP. I never track this car so I really don't need them. But as Will Castro from Unique Whips says, you gotta have "the Brembrrro brakes!"

My new blue-white AngeliBright fiber-optic headlight bulbs were expensive, but they kick ass all over the stock yellows:

From Bimmian I picked up a new set of aluminum pedal covers and replacement blue-white Xenon interior bulbs. Good stuff:

Finally, from the BMW dealer I ordered the cool new aluminum iDrive knob that ships with the M5 to replace my ugly plastic knob:
