I STARTED OFF WITH ADDING LIGHTS INSIDE GRILL- TW0 150W DRIVING LIGHTS AND TWO 100W FOGS, THEN A 60" LINE OF FIRE BAR BELOW TAILGATE AND A 49" BAR ON THE HEADACHE RACK FOR SAFETY AT WORK. I RUN EXPLORATION SURVEY CREWS WORKING IN ROUGH COUNTRY ON LOGGING AND OILFIELD / WINTER ROADS AND TRAILS MOSTLY WESTERN ALBERTA. BEING VISIBLE CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.WITH THE AMOUNT OF WILDLIFE ON ROADS I ADDED A BUCKSTOP GRILL GUARD AND BUMPER. I DIDN'T LIKE ORIGINAL GREY COLOR SO I HAD IT POWDER COATED BLACK. PICS LATER. CHROME LOOKED GOOD SO ADDED 6" TRIM ON ROCKER PANELS, DOOR HANDLES, TAILGATE HANDLE, TAILLIGHT AND HEADLIGHT COVERS, WINDOW VENTVISORS, MIRRORS, AND GAS CAP. I THOUGHT THE TRUCK SAT A LITTLE LOW WITH ALL MY GEAR SO ADDED FIRESTONE AIR BAGS IN REAR.
HAD ENOUGH ROOM SO WHEN STOCK BFG WORE DOWN I WENT WITH DICK CEPEK 35X12.50 TIRES. FOR PERFORMANCE I ADDED FULL K&N INTAKE ANF FILTER WITH AN AIR-RAID THROTTLE BODY SPACER, MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST, AND SUPERCHIP. WITH 4.56 GEARING IT GOES LIKE STINK BUT MILAGE JUST SUCKS. LOCK ER UP AND IT'LL GO JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE THOUGH! SOLD THE TRUCK TO A YOUNG LAD IN THE AREA, WHO JUST LOVES IT, DONE NOTHING MORE TO IT, THOUGH I KEPT THE FLYING PIG. GREAT TRUCK BUT FINALLY WENT BACK TO LONG BOX DIESEL. WORKING ON GETTING A 48 POWER WAGON WITH A CUMMINS.
