Page 1 is a little history of the project and some engine pictures. Page 2 and 3 include progress of the build and different components I have used. Page 4 is the most recent pictures. This project has taken place at The Power Plant which specializes in high performance BMW's and other performance vehicles. It is located in Reidsville just north of Greensboro if you would like more information click the link under favorite links up top.

History
This project has been in the works for a couple of years now. It has recently taken off after finding a great deal on most of the turbo accessories on eBay. After everything arrived we pulled and striped down the stock 1.8L block and found a crack between the head bolt and water jacket. After scraping that block I sourced a low mileage 2002tii engine. I used the bottom end out of the 2002 and for the top end I reused my 318i stuff. That?s about it concerning the engine for right now, I?m just waiting on my Electromotive standalone unit to come in and I can start wiring stuff up.

Very nice! What did you do for engine management? Did you balance the car? Move the Battery? I can't see as much as I would like to in the engine compartment. At any rate, looks like a nice build

hey great looking work so far... a friend of mine has a 85 E30 that he's working on but is having issues with finding a good muffler. What would you recomend that would give the car a good sound but that isn't overly loud? we're up to the third muffler and none of them sound right for the car. Thanks
