No, the Buick has not been resurrected or anything. I just wanted to say that I do miss this car simply because it was a beater and could have been something special. I think I may try to replicate it someday to bring back the old feel but with lmore style and less "spray-bomb." Yeah, I'm talking about doing another Buick up the same way only better. Possibly...

Well, today we scrapped the old Buick and got 190 dollars out of it. Which isn't too bad but it could have been much better. I'm a little depressed that it didn't last. But hey, it means a new car is coming so hopefully it won't be purple like the last one. No more spray bombs would be great for me.

It's a very sad day, indeed, for the Black Beast of a LeSabre died the other day. Well, it's not dead yet but the truth is, for some reason my engine that I got was rotten in the Buick world. Most of the 3800 Series engines last over 200G but mine, only at 158G decided to start its decline. A rod is going out and I think it would probably end up sticking out of the engine block if I didn't stop driving it. I'm slightly upset but I think we have a newer model LeSabre coming for about 500 dollars. I'm excited about that and hopefull it'll be a better color scheme than the previous. Who knows. Maybe I'll have better luck in the future. Pulled out all the removable stuff from the lesabre so I hope I can use it in the next car. Oh yeah, and those pictures of the latest install, not gonna happen anymore haha.

I finally got the subs installed in the box and it looks pretty good, the only problem being that the box wouldn't fit in the trunk. I did some measurements wrong. Fortunately, I had a back up plan... I took out the part of the back seat that you would sit on and set the box in there. Now the subs will blow your hair around a bit and the mirror won't stay in place. Oh well that's a good problem. Anyway, I also painted in silver, the Chinese symbol for eternity on the hood. It looks pretty okay for an amateur job. Pics soon to come!

Okay, the pics are up now and I have the box pretty much built. Just need to reinstall the terminal cups and get the subs in place. The paint was a little weird, it could have been the humidity and the primer not being dry, but it was patchy in some spots...hmm. It looks pretty good, though, and I don't plan on covering it any more besides the paint. Maybe some polyurethane clear coat. I don't know yet. There's also some pics of the car in it's recent repaired and painted state.

I finally started building the wooden box. It's going to be pretty efficient. I figured the volume and it should be just what I need for the subs to work to the best of their ability. I'm still working on getting pics of the car in it's newest condition and of the construction of the box, but it should be up soon. Okay, that's it.

Unfortunately the 2-channel amp burned up as soon as I tried it out and then I was working at a job away from home all summer. The good news is that I found another mono amp just like the first one. The bad news is that the box isn't built yet. I did do a really amateur repaint. It's all spray painted but I'll get some pics up. It doesn't look too bad. black body and rims...and the rocker panels and bumpers are silver. I also got some chrome skull valve caps and stuff like that. It's some good fun. I'm trying to get the other subs in still but time is a hard thing to get a handle on. Uh so that's it for now.
UPDATE...5-7-07
Finally got the car back. I spent all this time saving up cash to get it fixed. About $1000 in damage. Yeah. I'm not happy. However, I put in a Lightning Audio Bolt 10" sub and paired it with a L.A. amp. The set up was loaded in the box and came with a wiring kit, and it was only 100 dollars. It hits pretty good, but I have yet to install my newest purchases. I got two blue pioneer 12" subs and a blue pioneer 10" sub. For now I'm building custom boxes out of MDF and then painting them black, but later will design a fiberglass enclosure that makes the trunk look PRETTY. I also added a red 20" Streetglow LED tube under the dash, and it looks sweet at night. There are some blue strobe LED's that light up my JVC head unit right now, and I plan on adding more lighting accesories as well. I'm impressed with the two Coustic Amps I bought. I have one of each that are for sale on the sounddomain.com store. I'll drive the 10 with the sub mono amp and the 12's with the 2-channel amp. Big fun. I'll try to get some pictures up for you guys as soon as I get finished with the mods.
1995 BUICK LESABRE AFTER WRECK
This is my car that is currently off the road. I went in the ditch with it, and I'm currently working on getting that fixed. I plan to put in a pair of 15" Rockford Fostgate Punch Stage 2's with an amp that can handle both at their max RMS wattage, and maybe a new head unit. Right now I have an all Pioneer Speaker System, with 2-4x6 blues in the dash and 2-6x9 blues in the rear deck. I highly recommend those if you pair them with an amp. I have a JVC Arsenal Series head unit, and that seems to have enough features for the reasonable price I paid. This car's got power everything and suits my needs. But I still hate the car haha.
