This 1970 MG Midget is actually a 1970 car with a 1972 rear clip. The car had been involved in several accidents, and was the victim of a botched restoration. I took the car to learn some more about body work, and to have a fun two seat convertible to drive around. I have since focused my energy on the drive train and suspension. Eventually I hope to find an unwrecked body tub that I can properly restore and then swap over the drive train and such.

The car has an eaton45 supercharger and is a basically stock 1275 CC A-series. Eventually I will rebuild this engine to allow for more boost and power. The car puts out about 84 hp at the rear wheels. This make 0-60 in Fun seconds.

The car has a 3.9 rear end and a datsun 5-speed. If the car gets much quicker I'll have to focus on getting a better braking system.

Here are some photos that I took quickly the other day. I have not yet cleaned up the car for the driving season (although I drive it year round)

I like the super charger!
How much fabrication was involved and what did you have to do with the fuel system?
