Feedback ...is this car ugly? Most of Hemichrysler's friends think she is ugly. What do you think?

This car has had only 3 owners. I traced the original owners; he is now 91 years old. I hope he reaches 100 years! I wrote them a letter and received a very nice reply for my auto records!

I am trying to trace the second owner, Mr Chad Shafer of Scottsdale, Arizona. Are you out there Mr Shafer? Does anyone know him?

I had the exact same car color, leather interior, tilt & telescopic steering wheel. plus power side vent windows. My parents gave it to me,after about owing it for eight months. They thought it was a lemon, due to too many electrical problems. It went threw batteries, starters and alternators on a regular basis. My brother inlaw worked at a dealership so I had a good parts supply! My friends loved it! at the time I was 19, so we could fit at least eight kids in the old new yorker and party away.We actually drove this car up mountain roads and up a ski trail where we all hung out in Up-state New York. It was OK driving up, but when I had to back it up and turn it around, it was a work out... The only thing I didn't like about it was the color....It was a nicely styled car, I couldn't believe your picture when I saw it! Good Luck!!! My New Yorker lasted me almost eight years and saw me threw college.

Nice chrysler.... I was wondering if you knew where to get some parts. I have a 73' chrysler new yorker. I should put it up. Needs a little work but I have no plans to let it go to waste.

That's one beautiful machine. I had one exactly like it, but it wasn't a Brougham. Anyone who thinks this car is ugly is either an import-hugger or someone who doesn't respect the classics.

I like your car. I think it looks GREAT. I especially like the 'Brocade' [sp?] cloth and vinyl interior. Craig!! :o)

How is that great looking 73 doing? I'm attaching a page that is a great source of info on these cars. It used to be specifically for the 76 to 78 NYBs, but covers them all now. If you go into the members section you will see a nice example of a 72. No 73s yet, hope to see yours there. She is a real beauty. http://www.nybclub.org/
