5pt0Joe's 1989 Ford Mustang

This is my new pony. It has 101K on it and runs and drives smoother than any other Mustang I've driven. If you drove it, you'd think that the car had 10K on it. This pony is 1 of 470 Mustang GT verts in this color combination (nearly 20,000 GT verts made in 1989). It is loaded with every option available except factory a/c (yes, it was made this way and it's not a delete kit). Although I don't know this for sure, I was told that less than 100 Mustangs were made in 1989 without factory a/c. Since it was made in late 1988, it also features the original 85 mph cluster, which was given to only the first few 1989's.

Everything on it is original with the exception of items I've replaced. Everything was replaced to factory with the exception of the new Vortec lifetime warranty exhaust. This pony is currently a little quieter than my liking, but I haven't removed the factory air silencer yet. Even though it's not loud (but not quiet) on the road, it sure is a lot deeper than any exhaust I've ever heard.

The car has a clean title. The only damage on the car is in the front left of the car. It looks like it was bumped just causing the front bumper to become very close to the fender and dent it. Easy fix. Will fix with a new paint job. You can actually see it in the bottom picture above.

My future plans are to paint it so that the light surface rust doesn't become an object. Someday I might also replace the leather interior and carpet to make it look brand new. I've already replaced the headlights. I know once I'm done it will be an even sweeter looking Stang. Although I don't want to get rid of it, I've already had some interesting offers as it sits. That's how nice the car is!

Hi Joe-

I enjoyed meeting your dad when he came down to pick up the car. I have a nice picture of him standing next to the car, up on the dolly, ready to hit the road. I also have some other pictures of the car throughout the years. If you want copies for any reason, just let me know. It was a good car to me, and an even better car when I used to run with MustangPaula. She right- we had a lot of fun in that car and I'm glad it went to someone who'll appreciate it and take better care of it than I can. Keep in touch! -Danny

Canadian Cobra, So happy to see that my baby is being taken care of. I had more fun in that car than one person should be allowed to. I held on to her as long as I could and then passed her on to my old boyfriend (the person I had most of the fun with) who sold her to you. She has great history and will be good to you if you are good to her. Have fun. Let me know how she's doing! Seeing her picture totally made my day. Paula in Japan
