I got this car from my dad to drive around the yard because the frame was too rusted to pass inspection. The reason for the fuel tank on the front of the car like that is because the fuel line running from the tank to the engine shit the bed so since this car would never be able to go on the street again I decided to make a more creative fuel tank. While I was driving through the yard one day I hit a bump at about 35mph and the exhaust pipe broke off right near the engine and I would have kept it like that but the neighbors called and complain that it was too loud so I had to do something about it. That is the reason for the big boxy looking thing on the side of the car on the passenger's side. That is actually the muffler. For just using some air vent tubing it actually works very good for only about a half an hours work. On the hood I have an air intake but it isn't for engine performance but is meant for cooling it. The radiator died and instead of fixing it I cut a hole in the hood right above the cylinders and attached the intake thing so it would help keep the engine cool. You will notice that the car is covered a lot but duct tape and that it just covering rust. As for the engine it's a 1.0 Liter 3 cylinder and produces around 50 HP. One day I was bored and disconnect two cylinders from the distributor and the car still runs fairly good. Also for only having 50 HP it can peel out pretty good. In one of the pictures I have a peel out I did when I was rolling backwards at about 10mph and put it into first and gunned it and I left a line about 15 ft long which isn't bad for 50 HP. I'm not quite sure how this car still runs because since we bought the car when it was brand new till now we have only changed the oil twice and it has 150,000 miles. 300+ of those miles in my yard. Also, all the time I've spend driving around my yard I've beat the shit out of it and the damn thing still runs. Well, that's all I can say about the Ghetto Flyer. Here is a link to a bunch short video clips of the Ghetto Flyer in action. http://home.attbi.com/~bigkahuna2002// If the link doesn't work click the link under "favortie links" at the top of the page. Just recently I cut the exhaust off completely so it is basically just like having open headers. At night you can see some flames come out.
