I don't even remember how I discovered it, but I knew the car. The 2nd Generation Eclipse GSX. It was a 6 month search to find it once I wanted it and I found what I've understood from Mitsubishi was a Special Edition GSX with Borbet rims and 6 disk trunk mount in silver.
I went absolutely crazy with mods. Blow-off Valve, Intercooler, Turbo, Throttle Body, intake, turbo, and clutch. The funny thing was most of these upgrades were actually managing to repair the plethora of problems the car had.
It was on the eve of starting my own business and this car just was the thing to put out front. I got a body kit and an ultra rare set of Ferretti Portofino rims in 18" with Pirelli tires.
Then when it got to tuning, things got crazy. I couldn't get anyone reputable to tune it or set it up and everything became a fiasco. I was without the car for close to 6 months. By the time I got the car back and realized that 3 technicians hadn't fixed it I was done. I sold the car to my friend.
He turned it into this:
During this time it was on DIY television and other areas.
It was broken into shortly after to get the stereo system and some other parts and it hit an animal crossing 495 which did allot of damage to the front bumper so it needed reinforcement and the project needed a little prep work and it turned into this:
It's currently going through another incarnation.
I've debated getting into another Eclipse for some time and although I've debated it I haven't jumped yet. We shall see. But if I did, it would look like this:
