hey Paul, it's Steve-O again... i finally figured out how to solve the boot problem on the shifters with the 3" body lift.. i ended up taking the vinyl off of the back of my original seats (any vinyl would work, but i replaced my old seats with new ones) and folding it in half, poking 2 holes through it for the shifters, then clamping it down all around the rim hole with those black steel paper clamp things (that you get from office depot) from the interior of the amigo... i used about 15 -20 of the medium and small sized ones, being sure that the vinyl had enough play while shifting both shifters... i then put another piece of vinyl down on top of that, just kind of laying loose in there for some more sound protection... then, i took an old pair of blue jeans, cut them, poked holes and laid that on top of everything, and shoving the pants under the plastic piece to create a finished look... i really wish i would have taken pics of the procedure, but i didn't know if it'd work, and all i have is the finished product, which i will post to my cardomain webpage... i've taken it over 75 mph, and 100 miles of driving with no air leaks! it seems to be holding up very well and solved my hot air problem that i had...
