This is "Big Erla", my 1968 Chrysler Newport Convertible. It has the 383cu V8 with the 2barrel carb and single exaust. The exterior is in pretty good shape and was repainted about 12 years ago. Mechanically, it runs well and still has quite a bit of get up and go for this land yacht. The interior needs some love and that is my big project for the next year. I need to fix the electric windows (front 4way switch is missing) replace the carpet and redo the seats or replace them as the vinyl is showing some wear. If anyone knows of any good resources for parts, please email me at mikevanlenten@yahoo.com or leave me a posting on the site. Enjoy the pics!

Beautiful Chrysler! I've got two 76 Chryslers, both from Columbus, Ohio. I'm getting ready to move back up there at the end of the year. Hopefully the cost of gas will drop a bit by then. Here are some helpful sites for the full-size Chrysler owners: http://www.nybclub.org/http://www.imperialclub.com/The site below is for the windows. Elijah Scott is a friend of mine. I met him years ago at a Chrysler and Imperial meet.http://home.comcast.net/~imperial1971/
