Well, here's my Fairlane. I've owned it since 1987. I've left in sitting in a field for all that time. Overall, it's in pretty good shape. The original 289 motor was removed before I got it. It now has a 351W in it, but I'm going to yank that and put a 289 back in it. My plans as of right now are to paint it charcoal gray. Since I'm building it as a cruiser, I will be adding disc brakes.

Her's a few pictures of how the car has sat for the past 20 years.

I bought some rims for it, but they didn't workout. They hit the upper control arms and I just didn't like the look of them on the car.

So I took the rims off my Ranger. Much better. These I like. I'll keep them until I can get some nicer ones after the build is done.

Nice Fairlane! Guess it's about time you give her that long-due TLC. Good luck restoring that classic beauty. Glad you got a good donor car for her. Cheers!!!

nice cruiser man .
its weathered well for being parked so long it already has a style of its own should make a good come back no need to update too radical bring it back up to scratch and you will be like you never left her.
check out my cars some time.
good luck
