hey man, when i mounted my amp i used a piece of plywood too, but i put it under the carpet then drilled into it throught the trunk carpeting so you cant see the wood. it doesnt move at all. you should try that so it looks a little cleaner (just a suggestion though, dont gotta do it or anything)
