This is my 89-lesabre-T-type coupe, with the T-type designation was used by Buick the awesome Regal T-type, adding a legendary turbocharged V6 to the midsize coupe, making one of the fastest cars of the 80's. The car to use this designation that isn't as well known is the Lesabre. Built from '87 -'89, the Lesabre T-type represents the highest performing H-body. Although not as outstanding as its Regal sibling,the V6 3800 was a notch above other Lesabres, Original plans called for a turbo, but transmission durability problems limited engine output.So Buick turned to overall improvement. The acceleration was improved by using a performance axle, geared lower than most Lesabres. Styling was greatly improved by Grand National inspired black out trim, aluminium mag wheels, front & rear spoilers & fully loaded. The interior was improved with a console with shift lever,& front bucket seats. Also the Pontiac-style red-orange dash cluster was used to accent the t-type badges and other interior changes. whitelion_6's 1989 Buick LeSabre Also I have

Thats sweet dude. I know GM put out alot of different performance rides throughout their corperation in the mid 80's through the early 90's. Hold on to it, many people trash their cars not knowing what they were.

hey do know a lot about your engine? according to my haynes manual, some came with roller lifters and cam, and i read somewhere that the 3 engine code was that, my 88 is a 3 and my coupe is a c, which is to the best of mt knowledge the tru 3800, the 3 is 231 cubic inch, but really the sam engine. im just curious what the actual t-types have under the bad ass tilt front hood?
