ORION MAGNUM (BAD MAG)

THE SNAKE PIT NOW HAS A GROUP ON CARDOMAIN, PLEASE JOIN US AT; The Snake Pit Group on CarDomain

The Snake Pit Magnum is a street driven Demo vehicle for Orion and Directed Electronics. In its first evloution it showcased an Orion Audio and Directed Video installation, featuring 8 video monitors, 10 12 inch P series subwoofers, each in its own enclosure, and for amplification, 5 1200 watt Class D and 2 800 watt 4 channel amplifiers, tuned for performance AND YES ITS LOUD!!

Back on the streets and shedding its initial Snake Pit skin the Magnum is newer and badder than ever, now show casing the 2006 line of New Orion Car Audio, the Magnum uses 10 of the new HP 12's, 2 of the monstrous HCCA-5000 class d mono amplifiers (that's right I said HCCA for all of you long term, die hard ORION FANS!) And two of the HP-4600 4channel amplifiers to keep up with that destructive BASS!!!!!!

The Magnum was designed and built by the Snake Pit Mobile Electronics School Instructors. Utilizing the basic skills that are taught as course curriculum from the school, the fabrication, security and video vehicle integration, audio theory and enclosures, we created a rolling display for potential individuals who want to learn skills in a real world environment. This vehicle allows anyone to physically see what can be learned, practiced, and created with just a little instruction and imagination. See us at The Snake Pit

Ok... I'll defend the Snakepit built Magnum. Hope you don't mind. Mr. Deepthinker22 didn't think hard enough. He asked why are there only 4 subs with two other speakers. Huh, did you look at the door pods... that's 4 additional mids in the cockpit alone. Not to mention that common sense would tell me the car has all other speakers replaced if not multiplied. And your ignorant comment about 10,000 watts. Peak vs. RMS. Mr Deepthinker22, how about 12v vs. 14v. Chances are this car is direct powered at 14.4 volts from multiple alternators. Further upping the actual RMS wattage of the amps. Thus allowing them to output at the ever so elusive "peak" output as an RMS output. Deepthinker, go back to the books and think again pal. 10,000 Watts is easy to obtain and this ride only 4 subs to "reinforce" at least 12 mids and tweets.

My true comment, good job Orion and The Snakepit!!! This is one sick ride!!!

10,000 WATTS!? Has to be peak. How many REAL watts (RMS) do you have PER channel. You dont just add them together. Also what is the point of 4 Subs. With only 2 other speakers. Get some real speakers to go with that power. Subs are for REINFORCMENT.
