i bought this patrol on march 20th 2006-- i just thought it was too cool to let get away. i am scraping, greasing and oiling right now and have a lot of stuff on order or on a wish list. i will post more pics as things go along. it is fun on the the many dirt roads around here. i think they should start the factory back up and make more, with a diesel engine!

by april 6th, i have added air assist shocks, 80PSI got the ride height close to what it should be. the ride is so much better and no more bottoming out on the rocks. i also rebuilt and rejet the carb. no more miss and more power. should save a bunch of gas too. i also added a Tach. and have been playing with the spark advance because there is a little 'lull' in the acceleration. it is fun and rugged. no problem on any stretch of trail yet. i do wish the tires were bigger.

april, 10th, took the rear step bumper off the rear and replaced it with a military pintle hitch. i also ordered the bumperette that should be on the rear passenger side corner.

november, 3rd, finally got the top pulled off of it.. the original paint is still looking brand new where the sun had never hit it.. wow.! a nice bright red. maybe someday i will be able to repaint it.
