PROJECT UPDATE PAGE

THE PROJECT BEGINS!!!

Step 1. New Intake Filter.
I decided to go with a SARD air filter as the quality was top notch and it's not a commonly used filter here in North America.

Step 2. A better BOV.
Can't get anymore JDM then the HKS SSQV blow off valve. This was the bolt on kit for the RB20det motor all the way from Japan.

Step 3. Oil Catch Can.
This was installed in order to keep my engine breathing cleaner, more combustionable, air when under boost. The set up is not quite the way I want it yet, but is working now and will be changed soon.

Step 4. Larger, high flow exhaust.
HKS Drager Exhaust system is in and I'm loving it! I was scared at first to put it on because of the shear size of it but surprisingly it's not that loud. The cat back system is 3.5 inch piping, straight through muffler to a 5 inch tip. The sound is low, deep and smooth all the way through the RPM band but that's to be expected from one of the TOP jdm manufactures.

The first picture shows the lazer engraving which I love and using a large BIC lighter (which I'm sure we've all seen) in the tip to show just how BIG it is.

A nice shot of the piping where you can see it's huge, my sponsor has affectionately called this the "Anaconda" exhaust.

Finally a picture of the canister, which like the rest, is HUGE as well. Overall I am super pleased with this.

Step 5. Engine Management.
MINES Stage 1 ECU - tuned for up to 1 bar (14.7psi) of boost, intake/exhaust, all a/f's based on 91-94 octane gas and the speed limiter was removed.

Step 6. Aftermarket Gauges.
Defi BF Boost/Vacumm gauge with Link control unit. These have always been the gauges I wanted. It's 60mm, lights up white and can record up to 3 minutes of date which can be played back using the control unit. I will be adding an EGT and Oil Pressure gauge soon.

7. Intake.
Custom 2 1/2 inch turbo intake pipe to allow maximum air to the turbo from the SARD filter.

Updated engine bay picture with a completed oil catch can set up and Cusco front strut tower bar.
