This is my authentic 1989 GTA..."fortune" brought her to me and im doing my best to make her the best GTA out there which isnt too hard with so few left
I picked her up about 3 years ago...and have spent the first two years refinishing the interior from tan and HORRID...to black and beautiful
I came across this car with some divine intervention. My High School has two parallel roads that lead to the highway i used drive home on every single day. I never went but one way until one day my buddy pointed out to me that he saw a car that looked like what i was looking for on the parallel road I nv take within a half mile of the school. I had been searching for about 3 or 4 months on ebay and other places, for a trans am or GTA if i could afford it...with no luck, and I hadnt EVEN seen one since becoming aware of their existance. So i go to check it out and its a beautiful black trans am GTA w/tan interior...old and rugged but it was my realistic ferrari and it was amazing. It had 171,000 miles on it and the guy wanted 2500 bucks for it. I was working at a minimal 6.00 buck an hour job at the time and had just saved up 1000 dollars. Man what a sucky time to not have any money and my parents unable to loan me that kinda help.
The next day after school, I went to see the car and it had been vandalized. Someone shattered the passenger side window, put a huge dent in the drv side door, and it looked to be banged up a bit. I called the guy immediately and informed him. A day later, I talked with him and setup a time to test drive it. I got him to go down to 1500 for it bc of the damage and he said he couldnt afford to do what he wanted with it and liked how i had treated my 91 v6 bird. So i bought the car and later found out during the interior swap that it was authentic (a bunch of fakes out there). Thank you God.
Now that you have the back story, the rest of this first page will be dedicated to the car's original form.
Just a couple of pics of the car around my house area. Check out the wrecked tan interior. I had just installed black GTA door panels (really rare)
