This is my 1982 CJ7, which I have owned since 1984 when it had the stock 258, T-4, and a new set of 235 all season radials on stock rims. It has come a long way since then where it currently is powered by a fresh AMC 401 with Edelbrock heads. The tranny was dumped in 1989 in favor of the Ford T-18 shortly after it received a Detroit in the then AMC 20, and a Powerlock in the then Dana 30 front. Living here in Colorado allows frequent visits to Moab, Farmington, and other sites in both Utah and New Mexico. Plus, all of the trails in Colorado. I have spent the last few of winters refurbishing the old girl so I can get another 20 years out of her. The rear axle is now a Pro Rock Dana 60 with 35 spline shafts, and the front Dana 44 has Superior shafts with Ox joints. A Lo Max 4 to 1 was added in 2005, yielding a 115 to 1 crawl ratio.
The winter of early 08, we completely cut off the old suspension and started over with Fox 14" Coil Over Shocks. The suspension was entirely custom built and the wheelbase was stretched to 108" with the rear coners modified to allow the rear tires to extend beyond the bumper. We ended up with one flexin' machine!

I added a set of tube fenders and crusher corners in July 2006 along with a new paint job. Here are the results and few pictures from Billings Canyon in Colorado.
