LE2.1HL Project

One of the most enjoyable projects I've ever taken on.

I purchased the heads used from a fellow board member on camaroz28.com
Lloyd Elliott was kind enough to review the heads and provide me with confirmation
that they were in fact his work and that they were in great shape.

Bret Bauer provided me with an LE1HL 22x/23x cam (more duration and lift than an LE1, slightly less
duration than an LE2 cam). Bauer Racing also had everything I needed to build a solid valvetrain,
which made the whole project much easier.

I ordered most of the odds and ends I needed from Summit Racing, Summit generally has
everything I need in stock and has it on my doorstep within 2 business days. It's not uncommon
for me to place an order late Friday night and find it waiting for me Monday evening.

A local board member from MoFbody.com installed everything for me and helped generate a
street tune which worked well enough to get the car to Tulsa, where Ed Wright finalized the tune
on his chassis dyno. I was very pleased with the results, the car performed as well as (and in
many cases better than) other H/C cars I'd had the opportunity to ride in or race against.

The power increase was amazing.
