I got this car and got bored with the 305, no balls, so I took this 350, did a complete rebuild, bored it to a 383, with a 400 crank, I put a really nice set of comp cams in it, and topped it off with a brand new rejetted 600 performer carb

I let it breath with a set of flowtec headers 3" collectors ran to 2 3/4" pipe ran to dual flowmaster 40 series mufflers.

Niced deep rumble anyone at a track or car show can appreciate. I ran it on a dyno and it pulled 349 horse at the crank at 5,300RPM, and this motor only has about 4000 miles and is still wound pretty tight, needs a little breaking in yet, but I think I it will break 400hp when I get comfortable running the rpm's higher and tweak it to be a little less gentle. Then I put a TH-350 Short shaft in it, an almost brand new 3 speed, then a had a buddy helped me put a Lokar shift kit in it,(I do motors, not too much on tranys, besides install them) and the car came stock with a TH-700R4 so it already had 3:73 gears, and we put a posi locker in it.

Here's what it does without touching the brakes, droping it from 2300RPMs, all I need is some micky tompsons and my drivers license back. I haven't got it to the track yet but I am hopin for 12s.

here's an update, got a set of 14" wide SuperWide 50's on the back, finally getting some of that power to the ground, but they still spin through first, sorry the new pics kinda suck, I took them with my phone.
New update, went to dropfest with it this last weekend of the June 3rd and 4th, had a blast, entered burnout competition, went pretty good

and the donut competition, I got those fat slicks to whip around pretty good

and of coarse did a few drag passes
