this is my 1978 mustang II. it has been a 3 year project starting off as a normally aspirated stroker small block evolving to the present supercharged motor. as of last year we were running in the low 11 second range without the nitrous. i am replacing the complete motor this winter and hoping to be faster this summer. the car has a 12 point cage fabricated by me, a plate mounted motor, subframe connectors, 9 inch rear end with wilwood disc brakes on all four wheels. it has a c-6 transmission with a 4000 rpm stall and reverse pattern valve body with transbrake. we are currently running 3.89 gears with a detroit locker. the car is completly street legal although it has no heat/defrost or wipers and sorry no sound system.
UPDATE: as of early june 2007 the car was again completed and running. have not made any wide open blasts as of yet but am building up to it. the car is definetly much faster than before. this winters modifications included a new dart block with all forged internal components, a better blower specific cam, msd crank trigger system and blower drive ratio alterations. there were a lot of other minor modifications done as well. Be sure to check out my website: totallywiredracing.com
UPDATE: as of march 11, 2008. this winter the projects were minimal as the car was put away running for once. i replaced all the seat belts for sfi compliance, rewired the charging system feeds, installed a power connector for my gps unit (hopefully it will tell me my mph as my speedo has yet to be hooked up). i also bought and assembled a set of killer wheelie bars but have yet to weld them on. i have had it with all this snow this winter and can't wait much longer to get this puppy back on the road.
UPDATE 05/16/08 the car is running excellent. went to a local car show tonight, hung out for a couple of hours and on the way home i totally smoked a new hayabusa up to about 130 mph. those bikes are quick...but not quick enough. the guy on the bike didn't even have enough balls to pull up next to me at the next stop light after i smoked him. he just hung back about 20 feet behind me. maybe he was getting buzzed from my torco 116 leaded fumes.
UPDATE 06/02/08 well it's broken again. last saturday night i went out to a local car hangout and on the way home it died. a small screw under the distributor cap, that holds down the wires from the unilite module, loosened up and jammed itself between the distrib housing and the rotating internals locking up the distrib and shredding my composite distrib drive gear. the engine is now being removed from the car to remove the oil pan and the shredded gear debris. i have too much money in this motor to take chance and hope the debris does not make it through the pickup screen and possibly lock up my oil pump which will also shred another $100.00 gear. hopefully it will by running again by the weekend.
UPDATE: 08/07/08 the car has been back together for almost a month. i did find pieces of the distrib gear in the oil pan so it was worth the effort to pull and reinstall the motor. did valve adjustment and several other minor adjustments. car is running excellent.

UPDATE: 11/01/08 went to union grove this last thursday. temp outside was 60 degrees. first run netted a 10.08 @ 132.6 mph without nitrous or transbrake and blew the blower to manifold gasket at about 3/4 track. second run, after changing gasket netted a 10.80 at 124.2 mph also without nitrous or transbrake and again blowing the gasket this time about 1/2 track. having backfire issues at high rpm's, need to check valve springs and air/fuel ratio...may be leaning out on the top end.

UPDATE:01/30/09 car is sleeping peacefully in the garage in one piece for once. have not run it since november. need to fire it up one of these warmer days. looking into a wideband air/fuel ratio meter set up. anyone with info or feedback let me know. i am looking at the FAST system as well as one from INNOVATE. both are dual sensor units with rpm logging. the innovate also has provision for a throttle position sensor, a manifold pressure sensor and a driveshaft mounted speed sensor. i like the innovate system better but as usual with the sensor options it is quite expensive.
