Update 11-18-04:
We pulled the engine over the summer to swap heads & cam & found that the passenger side framerail is completely rusted through & starting on the strut tower. This car is now parked for a while until we decide what to do with it. Just purchased a nice rust free 93 LX to swap all my stuff into, but it will be a year or so before its done. I'm going to try to update the progress on a regular basis tho.
Hi! My name is Katie & I am from Belfry, Ky. This page is about my 1990 Mustang GT. I bought this car in May '02 to race & for fun, you can see my daily driver on the other page.
The engine is from a 1997 Ford Explorer (5.0) and has been converted to carburetion. Some of the other mods are :
Holley 650, GT40P Heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, B303 Cam, 1:7 Roller Rockers, Solid Motor & Tranny Mounts, Crane HI-6 Ignition, Pro 5.0 Shifter, World Class T5, MAC 1 5/8 Full Length Headers, 2 Flowmaster 3 Chambers, Manual Steering Rack, Moser 31 Spline axles 3:73 FMS Gears, Southside Subframe Connectors, AutoMeter Tach w/ Shift Light, AutoMeter Oil Press.& Water Temp Gauges in A/C Vents, Weld DragLites W/ Skinnies on Front.
I bought the car with all of this done, the only thing I have added is window tint & a Driveshaft Loop.
Before the window tint....
Needs a little paint, but " you don't have to look good to go fast"
Here is after the tint.. I have 5% all over the car, including a 8" strip on the windshield, with 35% all the way down the windshield. Kinda dark, I know...

The interior is in pretty good shape for a 12 year old car... Notice the gauges & tach...

Here's a few pics of the engine. I hope to pull it this winter to clean and paint the engine compartment and to straighten some of the wires.

Here it is at this year's Year One Bristol Bash

Here's one of me watching some of the fast cars run @ the Bash (I'm in the black jacket)

The license plate says it all.....FST302
