Suspension modifications include:
Bilstein shocks (linear damped)
Front: #1104
Rear: #0929
Eibach coilsprings p/n 3833.P40
These coilsprings were developped by Eibach specifically for the RCMP. They offer a 0.8" drop over the standard 9C1 caprice springs. They don't lower the RM all that much, but are nice and firm.
9C1 Swaybars
Front: 1 5/16" Hellwig
Rear: 1 1/8" Hellwig
I would like to upgrade the rear to something a bit larger eventually but they sure beat the stock setup, which consisted of just a front 28mm (1 1/8") bar (plus they were being liquidated). That's right! Buick saw fit not to add a rear swaybar to the FE1 suspension.
BMR Lower Control Arms
Let's face it, the stock stamped steel lower control arms were terrible when they were brand new.
Impala SS wheels
Tires
In the summer I run 235/55R17 toyo proxes up front and 275/40R17 Hankook ventus Z211 out back.
215/70R15 Winter tires are used during the winter.
