This page is dedicated to my car..my 97 dodge avenger 5 spd. On Aug 15, 2006 i was coming back from my friends house in Uvalde Texas when i was T boned by a 18 wheeler in the drivers side in Sonora. This car is built well, as i am here writing you this now as you can see. I have a year of rehab and recovery ahead of me, and require 3 more surgeries to fix everything, bit i am here all thanks to the well built dodge avenger which i drove. My injuries included a compound fracture of the left knee, sheered off the tibia and fibia of my left knee. I have foot drop due to nerve damage. I fractured my pelvis in 3 places, 2 broken ribs, 2 bruised lungs, damaged vocal cord, fractured my C1 vertebrate, Broke the back of my skull, and damaged my 4th nerve in my right eye causing me to see double vision now. Like i said i have 3 surgeries ahead of me to repair these things, but the bills cost over 250k dollars, thank God i am under my fathers health insurance for the ARMY, or i would of been broke my entire life, so i cnat stress to you all to have life insurance.
The people having to get me out of the car, no i did not hit the pole close though, but this made front page of newspaper in Sonora TX.
What i looked like in the ICU i dont remember the accident, and they kept me in a drug induced coma for 2 weeks, during that time i also lost my spleen due to internal bleeding. I never had so much as a fender bender in the 6 years of my driving record then this, so keep in mind no matter how well of a driver you are, accidents happen.
My air bag and seat belt saved my life, i can not stress this enough..
