This is an idea as to what you will need to cut off.
g. After the extra plastic is removed you will need to take the cover off the flush mounts and put them in the area that you want to mount them.
h. Mark the holes that the marker lights use to mount.
i. Drill the holes.
j. Place wires through the stock hole and then bolt the new flush mount marker lights in place.
k. Connect new marker light to the factory harness using the recommendations for which wire goes to what wire.
l. Replace farings.

You should end up with something like this:

done a fenderectomy and left enough fender on the sides for the
room needed to mount these lights.)

k. In the upper part of the rear fender drill two small holes (only large enough for the wires to fit through) into the storage area.

For the fenderectomy go to Fenderectomy How-To Page . I also put the rear reflector back on the bike. To do this just line up the reflector and drill new holes and just bolt it back in. Here is a picture from inside the fender to show you how it was mounted. You can also see the bolts and wires for the rear flush mounts.
