Merkurs have been in my family for almost 10 years. The first was an '89 Strato Silver Scorpio which my dad drove for 6 years. Then once I turned of age I was the lucky one to drive it. Then, one day, the transmission gave out on me and I didn't have the money to fix it. Then I had an '88 in Grenadine Red that was hit in the middle of the night on a side street while I was inside my friend's house. The front end would not have been able to be straightened out so I just gave up on it. This one came from Elgin, IL and it is in Chestnut Metallic and it is mostly stock, except for the cold-air intake, a cat-back exhaust with a stainless steel performance muffler, and KYB GR-2 struts. It has a little rust, which you could expect from a 18 y/o car from Illinois. I've been saving my money to put things like euro headlights, polyurathane suspension bushings KYB gas-a-just shocks in the rear, and I need to replace the "guibo" on the driveshaft.
Here's a nice passenger-side shot.

A nice side-shot from the distance.
Here's the rear of the car.
The perfect rear seats.
Here's the front of the car.
This is the "glamor" shot.
This is another yet closer shot of the front.
My aftermarket MSW (I call them my Merkur Scorpio Wheels) wheels and my Kumho Ecsta ASX tires.
Here's what the gauge cluster looks like.
A pic of the dash and my stereo and the shiftknob I made.
I'll add a few more pictures really soon, so check back.
P.S. I made the shiftknob in the picture, but now I have a Hurst T-handle knob on the car.
