This is a 1972 Ford bronco that has a story. This Bronco was purchased by my Father-in-Law back in the late 80s for $1500.00 at a local car lot. He drove until 1999 when he cracked the block. He found another motor and built it. He installed the engine in the late part of 1999. In February of 2000 he passed away. For a year and a half it sat in my Mother-in-Laws yard untouched. After explaining to her that it was going down hill fast just sitting and not being driven, she suprised me one day when I stopped by her home. She had the title in her hand and said that she would sell it to me for $1.00. So I purchased it from her, cleaned it up and drove it for a couple of years, but due to other project at that time I parked it again back in my Mother-in-Laws yard in 2002. It sat again up until the first of this year. I had just gotten rid of a 1972 Ford pickup and decided to put it back on the road but the years of sitting had taken their toll on it. So I loaded it on a trailer and brought it home. After looking over it, I found out that a couple of brake lines had rusted through and the carb was in bad shape. For the past couple of months it sat until I could have new brake lines made and replace the carb but it is now running great and will soon be back on the road. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done to make it a nice ride and my plans are to give it to my 13 year old son when he gets his license. He and my Father-in-Law were very close and I feel that is what he would of wanted. Below is a picture of what it looks like today followed by some pictures taken on March 11, 2006 the day that I got it back up and running.
