Mustang Dyno Results
For those unfamiliar with the Mustang Dyno, the horsepower/ torque numbers produced are very accurate, however, they seem very conservative when compared to those produced by the more popular DynoJet (approx 10-15% loss). He did three power pulls to redline in 3rd gear. The first two pulls were back to back, he let the engine cool down for a few minutes before the third. My second pull, however, was the best: 150 WHP @ 6300rpms 151 WTQ @ 4700rpms (or between 165-172 WHP and 166-173 WTQ on a DynoJet)
Notice how flat the horsepower curve is. The powerband doesn't peak and fall off toward the end like a Honda, it pulls all the way until redline! This dyno will serve as my baseline so I can track my progress after the turbocharger is installed in a few weeks.
