THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD!! :(

A 1979 notchback stole my heart ;)

Here she was the day I brought her home.

I hand buffed the paint a bit, took off the crappy broken hubcaps, and ended up selling the car like so...

I will miss her

Its already a mess :( But never fear, it will get new metal soon :)
My friend just got an 81 stang with a carbed 5.0 w/longtubes in place of the stock 4 banger. Its fun but it needs the suspention re-done.

Hey man that's gonna make a great coupe once you iron out the rough spots! I can answer some swap questions for ya....if you stay EFI you're going to need the harness and computer from a 5.0 car, as well as stuff like a double hump cross member to allow duel exhaust, an 8.8 rear end, probably either a newer fuel tank with the proper fuel pump arangement in it (unless you just run an electric in-line fuel pump) and probably a few things i'm forgetting. Check out Stangnet for a complete list (do a search, it's been listed a million times). Personally i'd stick with a carbed setup...it's way easier and cheaper in the long run. As for my exhaust setup...the "custom one chamber flowmasters"..lol, yeah they're modified! We took regular 2 chamber Flowmasters and opened them up to see how the seperation plates are inside, and then cut off the back section just behind the last baffle inside the mufflers and closed them back up. I run them after a Dr. Gas X pipe with no dumps or tailpipes...it's kinda redneck but i get complements everywhere i go! It's pretty rowdy when you get into the throttle but it's not too crazy when cruising...no worse than any typical dumped exhaust setup.
