This is my first Trans Am, it's a rare 1988 Trans Am GTA 5-spd(1 of 809 GTA's made that year). The car was originally black, then painted red, probably after it was wrecked back in '98. It is now black again thanks to a very good father & son paint team.

It had tan cloth interior originally which I replaced with black. The pics below show the car as it was when we bought it(12-17-05), except for the previous owner cutting the spoiler to add louvers shown below.

Here are the GTA's specs:

Specs:
1988 Firebird Trans Am GTA

Transmission: 5-spd Manual
Rear Gear Ratio: 3.45:1 (posi)
Current Mileage: 116k
Horsepower: 220 HP @ 4400 RPM
Torque: 290 FT/LB @ 3200 RPM

Mods: Previous owner installed a hypertech chip, crane fireball coil, air charger(air foil) in the throttle body, centerforce clutch, and gutted the screens from the MAF sensor. The chip will probably be swapped for a stock chip for reliability and gas mileage.

nice T/A man the paint looks awesome you must have a nice body being as black shows all of the imperfections thats why im painting mine white flat whit so if theres a ripple ot a ding itll be hard to notice im not too concerned with the paint as long as the body lines look well lined up and btw you REALLY need to clean that motor and i noticed you took out parts of the a/c you should get the a/c delete pulley and heater box this way itll clear up a lot of space in the bay as well as take a lot of weight off the front end about 50 or so pounds including the condensor as you can see in my pic well take it easy man and keep me updated with the mods later
