This is my truck. It is my first new vehicle purchase.
Nothing special about it other than the color. They called it "Alert Orange" but it's really paint code WA9419 BRIGHT MEDIUM ORANGE. I think it is really close to Hugger Orange :)
It has the iron block/aluminum head L59 5.3L 295hp V8, 4L60E, and 3.23 gears.
I recently swapped a black 2006 Silverado hood onto it.
I eventually put the 2006 grille on to go with the hood, but after a year or so I got bored with it again and put it back to stock.
On the dyno it put out 255hp & 274ft-lbs on a 2nd gear pull. I ran it at the new dragstrip in Crandall, Dallas Raceway, to a 15.8@88. Not bad for mostly stock. I'm thinking new wheels are in the future since I've never really liked the stock wheels. Maybe something like this?
