Update: 8.9.07

After two months I finally have my car running again. The problem that was causing the car to stall was the MAF sensor. I replaced it two weeks ago. The car worked great for the weekend until I installed a new knock sensor. Then it was back to square one. The car started stalling again, it was to the point to where I couldn't take it out of my apartment complex. I was so fed up. It got to the point where I just wanted to get a new car. I already invested about $1,800 in trying to get the car fixed. But on Tuesday, I decided to take out the MAF sensor and return it to Checkers Auto to use my warranty exchange. I did just that, and now I have my car back!!! I guess that the first MAF sensor I bought was defective. I test drove the heck out of my maxima after I installed the new MAF sensor and I did not run into any problems (knock on wood). Man, my max feels quick, and it sounds great too! So now I am finally going to post some updated pix of my install. Thanx for checking out my ride.

Update: 6.10.07

Well, my car semi stopped running. It likes to stall while driving. I had it towed to a mechanic last Tuesday and they performed a full diagnostic on my max. They said that all three of my cat converters are plugged and the whole exhaust system need to be replaced. It was going to cost $1,700 for factory parts, $1,900 total with labor. I was bummed when I found out. I didn't have that kind of money. But after thinkin for a little bit, just a little bit, I got a great idea. Why not spend a 1/3 of what I was quoted and buy after market performance parts and then install it myself. The price of labor would be a 12 pack of cold beers for my friend and I. And thats what I did, I ordered the aftermarket parts. I've always wanted to but didn't have the money. But now I need to and I'm saving alot of money. So I kind of see this as a blessing. After doing a little research on maxima.org, I ended up buying a GREDDY SP2 full catback exhaust system, JDM style headers and Mandrel bent Y-pipe, and a BOMZ short ram air intake system. The intake is nothing special, but it should do for now. As of now, I am waiting for the parts. But I will post new pics as I receive them and I'll also try to post pics of the install and the before and after. Wish me luck.

Update 1.25.07

I went to my first Maxima meet in Phoenix last Sunday. The meet was set up from Maxima.org. It was good times. There were more people that were interested in showing up, but couldn't because they either had to work or they went snowboarding up north that day (who can blame them, I'd go if I had the money). I am sure that there will be more faces and max's at the next meet. If your in the Phoenix area and are interested in attending a future meet, be sure to check out this site for more info

The only drawback was the I got my car washed that morning and as soon as it was cleaned, it starts raining. But that didn't stop the meet. By the time we were at the little meet, the sun was out and the rain stopped.

I finally was able to clean my car yesterday. But I woke up this morning to a great big thunderstorm!!! You gotta love that!

Update 8.21.06

I worked on the max again last nite. I got the passenger side headlight to fit nyce and flush with the fender. That didn't take long. The problem came in when I tried to aim the driverside headlight. It's damn near impossible to do. the passenger side is aimed good. But for some reason the driver side aim really high, its aimming up in the trees. Well I gave up after i finished my six pack of XX. I'll try again later. Any advice to get it to aim properly would be great. thanx again for checking out my ride.

Update 8.20.06

Before and after
Lunaillij's 1995 Nissan Maxima Lunaillij's 1995 Nissan Maxima

My friend Tony and I worked on my car for about 6 hours last Friday. We had to cut out quite a bit to make the headlights fit. Man was it HOT outside in the Arizona heat. But we got about 98.75% of the work done. I still need to cut a bit out on the passinger side to have the headlight look more flush with the fender, the corner pops out just a bit. But I'm gonna wait abit to fix that problem. Its too hot to do it right now. The driver side looks great though. A side from the car needing to be washed, I think my Max looks great. But I let you folks be the judge of that. Please sign my guest book and let me know what you think. Thanx for checking out my ride. I will post better pics once I clean my max.

Here's a few more pics I took on my Moto SLVR

Update 8.18.06 12.43am

I got the headlights earlier today. I tried to install them when I was finished with work. Well it ended up being a lot harder than it looked. I had to cut some brackets that part of the frame behind the lights. I got most of the passenger side taken care of. But when I tried to install the headlight, it wouldn't go all the way back because part of the frame was in the way. So I gave up for now. Ill try again tomorrow. Wish me luck on getting them on without breaking anything accidentally.

Here are a few pics I took with my Moto SLVR.
