My '91 Silverstone Miata "Bruiser."
I named it Bruiser, not because it's tough and mean and beats everyone else up. It's named Bruiser because of the huge honkin' black fender that looks like a huge bruise. I'm remedying that soon, as I'm currently working on the prep work on a Racing Beat body kit (Type II nose, rear, and side sills). I'm keeping it the same colour, as I'm rather fond of silver, and this shade in particular.
I like this angle a little better...
In an effort to keep the questions about the fender to a minimum, my first "upgrade" was putting on what I affectionately refer to as my "kill stickers."
All but the last 3 are just for show. They were added to be a bit of a distractor. I was hoping people would pay more attention to the stickers than the fender in front of them. It's worked pretty well so far! The last 3 stickers were "earned", sort of. Maybe the other parties weren't paying attention, hence the reason my 98hp of fury dominated them with such ferocity. Hah!
I may joke a lot about my car, but I really do enjoy every minute I get to drive it. It's been the most bang for the buck I've had for a while. I do little minor upgrades (more like personalizations) every once in a while. The latest has been making my own "chrome" vent rings.
Basically, I sanded down the black plastic and hit it with Testors Metalizer paint. Nothing that drastic. I just didn't want to spend $50+ on a purely aesthetic piece.
I got the idea from Hakuna , a legendary '91 Silverstone. I've actually scoured his site for all it's worth, getting all sorts of neat ideas.
So far, this is what I'm working with; Koni adjustable shocks, front/rear sub-frame braces, cockpit brace, 15" BBS RV wheels, Dunlop tires (195/50R15), high-capacity radiator, clearwater headrest speakers, Kenwood CD head unit, and a bunch of other random little upgrades. Soon, though, I'll be putting on the RB kit and getting a blue roof (10th AE colour). I figure the blue will look real nice with the silver.
Anyway, fell free to comment on it. Be kind, though. Remember, it's a work in progress and its feelings are sensitive : -)

P.S. - My dog tried to steal my car!
Okay. Enough of that...
