This isn't my car, (wish it was) mine's the grey one below. This is an SS/AMX, one of 52 or 54 built (depending on who you talk to) by Hurst for AMC in 69. They all were 390 4spds with Edelbrock crossrams. These cars competed against HEMI Cudas/Darts and won! The best times these cars ran I believe were low to mid 10s! (the picture is from www.ssamx.com)
This is my AMX as it sits in storage waiting for me to get back from Iraq. It's a 343 4spd NON go pack manual everything car with a 69 390 and 3.15 posi. The 13.8 that I ran was done at Coastal Plains In Jacksonville N.C., right after I got there just to see what it would do. It had exhaust on it that was at least 20 years old, points ignition, the wrong flywheel (found out after), fouled plugs, a Holley in serious need of a rebuild, and no slicks just the 245 60/14 BFGs. I honestly don't know what it's capable of now since I've added the new parts to it. Plans are to paint it back to the original hunter green and add the go pack stripes in white. It will also be getting a few speed goodies added to the 390 when it gets rebuilt, 3.54 gears, Moser one peice axels, and a slew of other speed parts that I can't think of right now. In short I'd like to be deep into the 12's when it's done. I still want to go faster, but that's why I bought the Javelin!
****UPDATE 060406****
I FOUND A STEEL HOOD!!!! Just bought it off of eBay. No pictures yet but I hope to have a few new pictures for you soon.

The Javelin is my latest purchase, 304 auto SST. I haven't touched it since getting it so don't be upset by the over use of yellow. These are the only pictures I have of the car right now so please bear with me. Plans are to build a naturally asperated 9 sec Mark Donohue "fake". It'll be painted golden lime metalic and have black interior. And sticking to the "old school" look it'll also be sporting Cragar S/S Mags.

Both of these cars were bought when I have been in another country. The AMX while I was stationed in Japan and the Javelin while currently deployed to Iraq. I just tell my dad to check out the car and let me know, if I like what I hear (and I have some place to put it) then I buy it.
Here's a shot of me and the guys out here. (I'm the one on the right wearing sunglasses)

This truck will be mine as soon as dad finds a replacement for it. It's a 78 J10 Honcho Levi's edition. Original orange with blue interior. I'm guessing the person who ordered it new was a Broncos fan. It's a 360 2bbl 3spd manual. It has a ton of miles and has some pretty nasty rust. But we have all the sheat metal we need for it except for a cab. I plan on dropping my 401 in it with a T18 4spd. It'll be nice!
***UPDATE***
