This is my first attempt at a page. So bear with me. I set this up to Chronicle the transformation of my Old 1982 Rampage. I bought this car/truck from a buddy of mine, who owned a garage that worked on foreign cars. The Rampage was his old "parts runner" vehicle for his garage.

It was the vehicle that he used to run to the junkyard to get parts. He retired it in 1997 and it just sat in the corner of his garage with some parts and a picnic table thrown in the bed. I loved it. I always bugged him to sell it to me, and at a time that my old VW died and I couldn't afford to revive it, he finally caved. I bought it in 2003 for $300.00. We put some fresh gas in it and a battery and tried to start it. It rolled through the garage... the clutch was rusted to the flywheel. We then pushed it outside and started it, it fired right up and down the road I went. I drove it up the road with my foot pushing the clutch pedal to the floor and tapping the brake, eventually about 1/2 mile or so the clutch broke free and I could shift it. I then drove it home.

The true mileage is unknown it was listed as TMU (True Mileage Unknown) on the title. Apparently the title and the odometer didn't match on one one of the previous title transfers. I ran it for a few months fixing all of the problems that crept up since it hadn't been run for about 4 years he said. I love this little thing but really didn't know what direction I wanted to go with it's build-up and really didn't have any money to spend on it or anywhere to work on it. My wife and I are expecting our first child in June so with a limited budget I intend to do the little car/truck justice. I like the term Trucklet < I got that from Chase's 1984 rampage page or the Ramlet also Chase's page) to describe my little vehicle. My wife calls it a "cuck" because she thinks it's a P.O.S. or a "trar". It is kind of a P.O.S. right now and needs some work even to pass inspection. Inspection; the first hurdle I have some rust to fix. I do live in Pennsylvania... I started it last fall. The driver's side door was damaged when I got it. The previous owner was backing up with the door open and caught a post, folding the door into the fender. It's tweaked pretty bad but is still functional, with these welded on Non-adjustable hinges It's a real pain to fix. More updates to come. Thanks for stopping by my little first page.
