This is my 1997 GMC Safari SLX (PROJECT X). I purchased the van used on 2/28/06. This page will document the buildup. The first photos are of the van just as I purchased it (bone stock). Stay tuned for what my family and friends have dubbed "The Never Ending Story". I tend to get carried away with my project vehicles. I'm planning on keeping this project as simple and functional as possible. The van is going to be used as a daily driver. Thanks to the guys over at astrosafari.com for their help and valuable information.
