The term "Deet Deet" came from my daughter. When she was at the age of two, she would mock the sound of the horn. Unable to yet pronounce her "B's and P's" correctly, she coined the term "Deet Deet". Which she still refers to Samarais and some Jeeps, by that name...

bradtruelove's 1988 Suzuki Samurai Here is "Deet Deet 001", my first Samurai... This pic was taken just after I installed a 6" Rocky-Road SPOA system. It's riding on a set of 32x11.50x15 shoes. Front Bumper is Calmini with 9000lbs Warn Winch. 6:1 Crawler Transfer Case. Lockrites in Front and Spool in rear (tire-eater)... Also the heat and A/C work great!!!

My dad and I were grading out an area to pour a concrete pad. I was unable to contain myself as I continously kept looking at the dirt piles while "Deet Deet 001" sat quietly behind... My dad the "slave driver" wasn't as thrilled when I opted to take the unscheduled break...
More Pics coming real real soon

Deet Deet looks super sweet and fun. Great job on the fender flares and paint choice. Looks like a really fun off roader. Pops has that look at my crazy kid look. Great job and rated you 5 stars.

That is one killer zuki. The thornbirds look awesome on it. What size are they? How many coats of Durabak did you apply? I hope mine looks as good as yours sometime soon.

It works great. Be sure and rough sand everywhere you apply the durabak. I'm no painter by any means, but this stuff goes on idiot proof. I sprayed mine on instead of rolling. It will take 3 gallons to do the interior/exterior and top. After I pulled the windshield,I taped the frame rim thinking it cause a problem with the seal and fit. I later went back and painted it also with no problems with wind noise or leaks. In all it probably cost what a regular paint job would. But I have no problem with fear of scratches going through trails. I will say it's tough to wash. I mudded mine up once and left it on for a week. When I washed it, it was tough on the brush and it looked stained from the residue embedded in the paint pores. Next used dishwasher detergent with a generous amount of Purple Stuff type heavy cleaner. That worked really well and naturally without harm to the paint.
