My engine modifications include a XL Dual Out Magnaflow muffler with 2.25" over the axle and 2" axle to cat, and a Bomz Racing Short Ram intake, giving more tone the stock. The Boss has responded well to this, and the extra power has come in handy. And that B&M short throw kit allows for more spirited driving. And yes, the Hurst T-Handle looks a bit out of place in an import, but it works quite nicely.
If the sound of my engine isn't enough, I've installed a Pioneer 50x4 with Pioneer 6" speakers in the rear deck that nicely compliment my 12" sub being pushed by a 340 watt Dual amplifier. Not too loud, but a nice mellow thump. And if I really want to go over top I hit my Wolo airhorn. Gets people moving nicely.
The clutch is new, I lost the first one on Pipestone Pass, and the transmission has been rebuilt. In addition the front end has been redone and oil seals replaced.
Remember it's called racing, not winning.
