**This is now a "IN LOVING MEMORY" Page for my 1997 Eagle Talon**

4-30-97 to 11-15-08

Car was stolen at gunpoint in Aurora, CO.  If you see anything similar to this setup or see the car itself (it is a one of a kind)  You are asked to call police or contact me.  The stripes are actually painted, not vinyl and there are noticeable flaws (cracked front spoiler, dent in passenger side quarter panel, dent in passenger side fender.  (These are small dents, but noticeable on the car)

If anyone wants to donate, I would love it, I had somewhere between $30,000 & $40,000 into this car and the blue book is only $3500.  It's total BS!!!!  But that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Just so everyone knows, i listened to the POLL question and i had all of the oil leaks fixed.

+Yet another new update+
Recently put another 5250 dollars into the car. Rebuilt racing transmission...double synchro on all gears but 5th, replaced with evo gears, and extended 5th gear 10%. Motor was rebuilt due to a ring finally going out after 50,000 miles. will be getting re-dyno'd on 11-4-06. So stay tuned and see what it is pulling. Had 2 bent valves in it one ring was completely shot. Replaced fidanza flywheel's wear ring, new ACT clutch, eliminated clutch's accumulator(another bullshit unneccesary device by mitsubishi). I think that about somes it up besides the obvious seals and gaskets. alright, im done with this shit. peace.

I recently changed the poll due to the fact that one of the things people thought i should change most is getting the car lowered, and as it sits now, I scrape on speed bumps and other parts in the road, so there won't be any lowering done to the vehicle. The 3" exhaust doesn't fit clear up in the floor like the stock one did, it only has about 3-4 inches under it.
So please re-vote and let me know what you think. By the time I get 50 total votes, I will make whatever change has the most votes. Thanks again for your support.

Since we've added more power, the motor has started burning oil looks like the rings will be getting replaced soon. They shouldn't be out already, but they said the car was running so lean that it prematurely burned out the rings.

+=UPDATE=+ I have moved to Denver, CO and about 100 miles from here my car started running like complete shit. Well, ive never actually had it tuned since i got this turbo set up put on so i was curious to see how well it did. Just today April 25th 2006, I got it completely retuned and on the dyno. Starting out with 250whp, by the end of the dyno'ing and tuning, at 26psi on pump gas it pulled an amazing 420whp. Ill be getting the dyno sheet up here as soon as possible.

First things first, I bought this car at the age of 19 knowing that you could modify them greatly. But being in college and after the 10,000 dollar price tag, that wouldn't be happening.
One day, while driving my car starts shaking very bad, drove it about 20 miles to my destination and shut it off, to never start again. Towed it to a dealer and found out balance belt broke and took the whole motor out. Got it rebuilt by a dealer that didn't know $hit and it lasted 300 miles when it started shaking again (spun a connecting rod bearring). Had to haul it 2 hours back to the same dealer, and they did it again. Well, 20,000 miles later I drop the clutch at 6000rpm and kaboom. Smoke, sparks, water, oil, everything you could think of went.
5 holes in the block big enough to fit my hand into, 2 pistons laying in the oil pan, and 2 connecting rods broke in half, and last but not least, balance shaft was completely pushed out of the back of the motor.
This is when the upgrades started. I decided to do the motor myself, heres the list of the stuff you can't see in the pictures:
1. JE forged pistons 8.5:1 compression-$550
2. Crower connecting rods-good to 700hp-$700
3. Crower racing cams-give it a nice idle-$650
4. Crower Titanium Valve springs and retainer set-good to 10500 rpms, but never put past 9k-$330
5. 1mm oversized stainless steal valves w/ bronze guides-$200
6. ported and polished head-$1000
7. balance shafts removed-$50
8. new block (but you knew that if you read the above paragraph.-$2000
9. 2600 lb ACT clutch-$450
10.Fidanza Aluminum light weight flywheel-$350
11.New starter(balance shaft getting pushed out the back took the old one out.-$90
12.Full 3" exhaust from turbo back, 4.5"tip(no cat)-$950
13.770CC injectors-$380
14.255lph walbro fuel pump-$125
15.AEM ECU-(notice the MAF is removed in picture)-$1700
Thats all i can think of for now.
List of items you can see in the pictures:
1.GREDDY 24-R spec FMIC(front mount intercooler)-$1100
2.Shaved and polished Valve cover-$150
3.8.5mm plug wires-$80
4.Kevlar reinforced timing belt(very strong)-$300
5.DNP Header-$550
6.Full polyurethane motor mount set-$85
7.Huge precision turbo-SCM-6152E-rated at 630hp (so big, had to remove A/C compressor and put radiator fans on other side of radiator)-$900
8.External tial 40mm Wastegate with custom dump tube-$400
9.Manual boost controller-$20
10.AEM TruTime Cam Gears-$360
11.HKS Super Sequential Blow-off Valve-$300
12.Custom Intake pipe-$100
Total-----------------------------$13870
A lot of these prices also include the installation of the product....that would explain some of the higher prices.

I have a question for you. I have bought a 97 eagle talon and it came with a t4 turbo kit. Do you know where a could get a diagram of how to put it on so i dont have to pay someone over a grand to do it for me. Im in the military, so bugdets are tight, especially being married, always broke. I have the parts and the time, just dont know how.....can you please help? and where i can get a cheap intercooler.
