1999 MITSUBISHI LANCER MX-Extra, JDM Spec

My Lancer, until now is basically bone stock with the exception of a RPW Short Ram air intake and an OBX cone air filter.

It carries the 4G15 DOHC 16V Electronic Fuel Injection Engine.

I then added the RPW intake to increase my low-end power. the RPW intake was custom made for the 4G15 DOHC 16V engine by Racing Performance Works (RPW) from the 'Land-Down-Under' - Australia

I have no regrets about this performance modification. It has definately allowed my engine to 'breathe' better. Acceleration has definately improved.

When I got it, she was a basic Lancer MX-Extra with nothing special.

First thing I did was to get rid of her stock 13" steel rims and plastic wheel plates

These were swapped out for some light-weight 14" BSA Aluminium Racing rims with 205\60 tyres

I am Solodex driver and I compete with my Lancer. Solodex is our local name for Autocross (Auto X) racing. The name Solodex is derived from - solo ; 1 car at a time on the course and dex : dexterity race
