For those of you wanting to replace the door speakers, here's what I did. I went with Boston Acoustics Z6 6.5 inch separates. It's a matter of personal opinion, but I love the way these sound. Plus, you can mount the tweeter separately as a true separate or you can mount it to the woofer's basket as a coaxial. I chose the coaxial method.

Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangHere's the stock Ford 8-inch midwoofer in the door. The grille is part of the woofer and can't be easily removed. The grill trim piece is a separate piece.
Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangHere's the speaker and the surround removed. I have to applaud Ford because the cavity behind the speaker is sealed, once I filled in that small hole where the stock speaker wires came through.
Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangHere's the MDF baffle I made. Once again, Ford made it very simple and all I had to do was attach my baffle to the flange you see in the previous photo.
Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangThen I attached the Boston Acoustics speaker to my new baffle.
Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangAnd painted the baffle black so you can't see it once you attach the trim piece.
Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangHere's the finished product. I think it looks like it belongs there. I just used some screws around the outside edge of the trim piece that go into the outer edge of the baffle. One of the most straight-forward speaker installs I've done.

Tony407's 2006 Ford MustangThe Alpine IVA-D310 DVD player and Alpine SBS-05DC center channel speaker sit in the dash. This is a true 5.1 Dolby Digital System when combined with an Alpine MRA-D550 Digital Theater amplifier, which I installed in the trunk. The black knob to the right of the Roush shifter controls a 12-inch MTX Thunderform amplified subwoofer.

Hi there. I'm fairly new to this site. I'm loving the community here, so I want to contribute to everyone this article I read that really changed my life financially. Last week I got a check for $900! Really, no joke, I thought I couldn't do it myself, but I did. And it really helped me out my family financially because i'm a stay at home mom. But here's the article I read: http://www.news4show.com/finance/google-hiring-you.html hopefully it works out for you too. Good luck and God bless!
