THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT BLEW. THE CRANK MELTED TO THE RODS AND MY CAR STOPPED COMPLETELY ON THE HIGHWAY. NO OIL PRESSURE DROP OR ANYTHING JUST STOPPED. WE FOUND A PIECE OF METAL POSSIBLE PART OF THE HEAD GASKET IN THE OIL PUMP. OIL PUMP SHATTERED AND BLEW THE BOTTOM END OUT. SO WE REBUILT IT USING FACTORY PARTS BUT WE WENT AHEAD AND PORTED THE HEADS OUT. WE DIDNT BOTHER DOING CAMS OR SPRINGS AT THE MOMENT CUZ I WAS ON A TIGHT BUDGET.

THE SECOND TIME HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE HEAD BOLTS. THEY STARTED TO STRIP AND WATER GOT INTO THE ENGINE. AND WE NOTICED THAT THE CAM PLATE OR WHATEVER THE PLATES ARE THAT HOLD THE CAMS DOWN ARE CALLED, THE BOLTS WERE STRIPPING THEM ALSO. SO WE HAD TO ORDER NEW HEAD BOLTS AND GASKETS AGAIN ALONG WITH NEW PLATE BOLTS. WHEN WE GOT THE MOTOR OUT WE NOTICED THE CRANK HAD A GROOVE IN IT FROM THE BEARINGS. THEY SENT US THE WRONG SIZE BEARINGS SO THEY GAVE US A NEW CRANK AND NEW BEARING SET FOR BOTH THE RODS/MAINS.

BUT NOW WE SAID SCREW IT AND LETS BUILD IT SO THIS WONT HAPPEN AGAIN OR AT LEAST FOR NOW.IT IS GETTING FULLY BUILT WITH RODS/PISTONS/CRANK AND NEW BEARINGS,RINGS,AND SEALS. SINCE THE HEADS ARE ALREADY DONE WE PUT VT STAGE 2 CAMS AND HIGH LIFT SPRINGS ALONG WITH NEW VALVETRAIN COMPONENTS. I BUILT IT TO WITHSTAND NITROUS/SUPERCHARGER AND NOT PUSS OUT ON ME LIKE THE STOCK WEAK MOTORS TEND TO DO.

Nice mustang man too bad you had to sell it. So you're in the Air force? I've been in the marine corps for a little over a year now and I just bought my camaro a few weeks ago.

This was a pretty sweet looking ride too, with tons on mods. Hope you got big bucks when you traded it in. Good luck with your hunting for a new Stang. Love the 2010 interior and front end, just not to keen on the rear of it. Hopefully they will come out with some sweet after market tail lights and bumper for the rear.
