Sadly. I no longer own this truck, she is sold, but you are all welcome to take a peek at these pages.

I bet some of you were wondering how I came about owning this aging Mazda Pickup.....

It started about mid-January with a conversation between my wife and I about what to do about a second vehicle. We only had the 1994 Chrysler Town and Country (which has it's own page).

I wanted a vehicle of my own for a while, just as a project and work vehicle. She was starting work soon and would be using the van at an inconvenient time for me to have it.

A couple days later I was talking with my father, showing him some pictures of vehicles that I would like to own.

About a month goes by and he askes me what I had in mind for a truck, I let him know that I wanted something that was small and would be cheap on insurance and gas.

I showed him a few pictures of different trucks in my area and his (he lives in Vancouver, WA. I live in Long Beach, Wa.).

I found a truck on Craigslist and sent him the Address to go and see it. Low and behold, He bought it!! (not what I expected him to do)

He said it runs poorly but has a newer (less mileage) engine in it. It needs a good thourough cleaning and some TLC, but it would make a great truck.

He promised I would have it by my birthday in April, fully running and driving. April rolled around and so did my Mazda:

The Forest service green is compliments of the US Forest Service Ranger that owned the truck origionaly (verifed by a work order I found while cleaning out the truck).

The bondo that is filling the tailgate lettering is from someone else (may have been owned by a construction company, as evidenced by the numerous holes in the bed rails).

The slightly less used engine was compliment of the previous owner, they meant well, but gave up getting it to run right, not a single vacuum line was hooked up correctly and the engine mounts weren't tight.

But, not to worry, I fixed all that (and then some)
