This is my 82 280 Z turbo. I just bought it and I'm very happy. I once had a 84 300z. I had an accident one week after I bouht it. I thought that was the best car until I drove this one. I dont know much about cars, but if you do please give me ideas. I paid my neighbor $700.00 for it. He had it in the garage for almost 5 years.
Every thing works even the AC.
New parts:
starter
manifold gasget:$659.00!
battery
spark plugs
spark wires
new rear shocks
new rear rotors and brakes

damn, your z is way better than mine, by the way you should go gold! Gold with flat black rims and a turbo hood would look killer!

Firstly, sorry to hear about the Z31 kicking the bucket. That's a shame. Secondly, welcome to the world of the superior S130 ZX. That car looks absolutely wonderful. I'm impressed just looking at the pictures you have up. If you want ideas for mods, though, then there's no short supply.

Firstly, bore the engine out to 3.2 liters, upgrade the turbocharger (a t3/t4 hybrid works wonderfully), you can get an upgraded ecu, and various other aftermarket pieces that will take it from a little pocket-rocket to an all-out speed demon. The possibilities are quite endless. For body and styling, there's a few kits out there (though for more variety I'd recommend speaking Japanese and visiting the Z-car's country of birth). Still, some sites, like www.zcarparts.com offer a wide selection of things. A good site for the engine pieces are www.racetep.com and http://www.freewebs.com/pallnet/

Also, you'll find that you can piece things together that aren't quite 'by the book'. Like the Xenon HID headlights for an '05 Mustang will fit, with a few small mods here. Things like that. It's a great car to be creative with.
