I pulled this 1956 Chevy from a barn, after 27 year of storage, everything works but the brakes. I will need to fix some rust over the headlights and in the bottom of the front fenders, but a very solid car overall. This car has a 265 V8, PowerGlide, power brakes, all original paint, everything is there. This old chevy has not been beat or messed with and had NO MICE in it!

Someone asked if I know the story about this car. I’m the 2nd owner, the original owner was a friends grandfather, who bought it new from a local Chevy dealer in 1956 and drove it until his death in 1978. The car was moved to his daughters, brother-in-laws farm and was left in storage until I bought it. I thought there might be a problem with the title, as it was in a mans name that had been dead for 27 years… Walked into the courthouse with the Grandson, the title, a copy of the death certificate and the $300 in my pocket. We gave the clerk the papers, I handed the grandson the $300, we shake hands and the clerk signs the car over to me… Gotta love small towns! Oh, by the way… The Grandson gives me the $300 back on the way to pick up the car and said “Give it to my uncle for storing the car 27 years. All I ask is that you take me for a ride now and then when you get her done… Well I remember Gramps taking me to Kansas to buy fireworks in that car, and I also remember…”
