I covered the entire box with Mold cloth which can be bought online through www.selectproducts.com After it was covered, I covered it in fiberglass resin, let it dry, added a few more coats and began sanding. The last pics are of a final coat of resin before the final sanding and painting. I did 2 layers of staples along this edge to hold the fabric and make a nice smooth edge.A picture of the whole thing covered. The edges were very clean and the material was easy to work with. No wrinkles at all. Here I am at 6:00 in the morning adding the first coat of resin. Man this stuff smells nasty, especially that early in the morning. The final coat of resin to smooth out all of the grooves. Here I am again adding another coat.Primed and sanded lightly. Ready to be painted. After I added 2 cans of black paint, I began clear coating. This is the finished product before wax. It has 3 bottles of Clear Coat streaming off of it. Regular spray paint was used.Another finished pick before Wax.I sanded the clear coats with 2000 grit paper then applied a few more clear top coats before I waxed the entire thing. It now has about 3 coats of wax. A pic with the speakers in and after 3 coats of wax. The Night before I took it to get the speakers and amp installed, and to have the Stock Amp bi-passed.
