This is my 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby-Z. I purchased this car in august of 2002 in rather poor shape and have began a restoration on it since. The car had sat since 1993 and has 133 thousand miles on it. It has the following options;
2.2L Turbo II Engine
Getrag 5 speed transmission
Leather Enthusiast Interior
Sunroof
AC
Power windows/locks
Rear Window Louvers
Cargo Cover
Cassette Player
This is the car when I purchased it.
This was the first year for the Shelby-Z, and mine has some odd options. First it has the seat belts in the C pillar, like Canadian Daytonas do. Second it has a slightly different dash, which is hard to notice until you look at the glove box and matching lower trim pieces under the steering wheel.
My plans for the car are to improve its performance while restoring it. Every part that has been removed has been saved in case I ever want to put it back on, ever the original muffler and tip. My goals for the car are to reach into the 13 second range in the quarter mile.
