This is my 1987 Mazda RX7 Turbo II. I bought it for $4000 in May of 2005 with a spare engine, and plenty of parts. At the time it seemed like a really good deal. The exhaust was completely gone, and the engine bay was a mess, but it was almost completely stock, and a good point to start my transformation from.

This is Page 1, the first time I got a look at the car, and a little introduction, as I move on you will notice the dates are progressive...

The car came with these Niche Road Wheels, but they were heavy, and quite ugly in my opinion. I didnt really like them and planned on selling, or trading them for something I liked more.

As you can see here the sunroof was rusted, but not bad for an 18 year old car. That was the only major rust spot on the body of the car. The underbody wasnt great, but not terrible either. The rear drivers side fender also has a spot of rust...

The interior of the car wasnt too great. It smelled like smoke, and was painted white for some odd reason...damn ricers...I figured I would just end up painting it later, so I wasnt too worried about it.

The engine bay looked like it was out of an 18 year old Rotary Turbo...dirty, ugly, but you know that underneath all that dirt was a beautiful powerplant... :)

I enjoyed reading your step by step with your car... I recently bought an 87 rx7...hmm non turbo unfortunatly, but its got the hood lol so alls i need is to buy the TII engine and drop'er in.. but i got really lucky because i bought the car for 1300 w/ 87000 miles on it... and there is a rotory shop in my town im suprised cause i live in the middle of no where Indiana.. Check out their site- www.Banzai-racing.com.... but the clutch needs replaced asap because i was sick of not going sideways... Im currently a senior in highschool so money is a bit of a problem but ill update you soon w/ any mods if you'd like... But there is one thing i didnt like what you did to the car... the single cat back exhaust... why man why... gotta run duels... Myke!

That sucks what happened man. Do you plan to get another rx7 sometime? You might want to keep get a na so you don't have to add anymore kills to your list, or rebuild it.
